Police blotter Man facing multiple charges following theft

A 39-year-old Port Colborne man is facing multiple charges following a theft at a worksite on April 27 around 4 a.m.Police responded to a report of a theft where a man was spotted removing materials from a site in Dunnville.A man was located a short distance away and was arrested without incident.Further investigation determined he was in possession of illicit drugs.The charges he is facing are mischief under $5,000, theft under $5,000, possession of break in instruments, two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance, fail to comply with a probation order and two counts of failing to comply with a recognizance.He was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga.Boat and trailer stolenA boat and trailer have been stolen from a driveway in Haldimand County.At some point between 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on April 28, a silver Sylvan Pontoon style boat and a silver Genesis MBP trailer were removed from a driveway on River Road, Cayuga.Police responded to a call about the theft around 6 p.m. after the resident noticed the boat and trailer were missing from their driveway.OPP continue to investigate is asking anyone who may have noticed any suspicious persons or vehicles, or who may have any information regarding this incident to contact them at 1-888-310-1122. read more
