Arriva London goes Platinum for Payroll Giving

first_imgArriva London has been awarded the Platinum Payroll Giving Quality Mark from the Charities Aid Foundation, as over 20% of its 5000 staff members are signed up to Payroll Giving.With such a diverse workforce it means that over 160 charities benefit, from well-known national or international ones to very local causes.The bus will also feature in this year’s Lord Mayor’s Show in NovemberPayroll Giving encourages employees to give to their chosen charity direct from their payroll which is tax efficient for both employee and charity.With many more staff signing up each week Arriva London is the only bus operator in London to have achieved the Platinum quality mark.To help celebrate the achievement it has painted one of its buses Platinum, and then decorated it with ‘Arriva London has painted this bus Platinum to celebrate our 1000 award winning staff who support 160 charities every pay day’.Arriva London’s Managing Director Bob Scowen says: “Being the first and only bus company to win the Platinum Payroll Giving award is something really special, and I am immensely proud of this fantastic achievement by our staff.”last_img read more
