Pearl Jam Shares New Single, “Quick Escape” [Listen]

first_imgPearl Jam has released the latest single set to appear on the rock band’s forthcoming Gigaton studio album, scheduled to arrive this Friday, March 27th. Entitled, “Quick Escape”, the new song shared on Wednesday follows previously-released singles from the Gigaton tracklisting including “Dance of the Clairvoyants” and “Superblood Wolfmoon”, in addition to “River Cross” which debuted during a commercial which aired during this year’s Super Bowl.The raw-sounding track powers its way through an erratic intro to open into a full-blown rock performance. Recap: Nationals defeat Phillies 10-6

first_imgThe Washington Nationals held off the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday in regular season action. The Nats’ record now stands at 5-5. The Phillies drop to 7-3. Offensively, the long ball ruled for Washington, belting out four homeruns by Yan Gomes, Howie Kendrick, Victor Robles, and Juan Soto. In the first inning, third baseman, Anthony Rendon, hit a sacrifice fly to right, and Adam Eaton scored, making the score 1-0. In the top of the sixth inning, Anthony Rendon doubled to right, scoring Robles. At the top of the seventh, catcher Yan Gomes hit his first home run of the season. Pitch hitter, Howie Kendrick, hit his first home run of the season in the middle of the seventh. Center fielder, Victor Robles, hit his third home run of the season to tie the game at 6-6 with two outs in the ninth. In the bottom of the tenth, left fielder, Juan Soto, hit a huge three-run homer with Brian Dozier and Anthony Rendon on base. Also in the bottom of the tenth, Rendon doubled to deep right and Ryan Zimmerman scored. Stephen Strasburg pitched a very strong four innings for Washington. Matt Grace pitched two innings.
