BV whips Annandale in 592 football

first_imgBV defeated Annandale 5-1 while Victoria and Friendship battled to a 2-2 draw Friday at the Buxton Community Centre ground when the inaugural 592 Beer Inter Village Football Festival continued. Ronnell Gordon commenced the rout for BV in the 11th minute blasting his effort into the right corner from the top of the 18-yard area.This was followed by an Omari Glasgow conversion in the 34th minute. Glasgow scored with a thumping effort into the top right corner after racing into the right of the penalty box.Deshane Garnett then made his presence felt in the 56th minute placing his penalty shot into the lower right corner, as BV raced to a 3-0 lead. Glasgow then completed his brace three minutes later. Cutting into the box from the right side, he then dribbled his marker before shooting his effort into roof of the left corner.Junior Alleyne then capped off a fine offensive showing for the BV unit in the 79th minute, slotting home unchallenged inside the six yard area, after receiving a pass from the right side.Annandale eventually scored in the dying moments of contest, Alco Azore placing his effort into the left corner from inside the box. In the Victoria and Friendship encounter, Kemroy Alfred gave Victoria the lead in the fifth minute, rifling his effort from the top of the box into the lower right corner. The lead proved to be short lived as Shemar Scott equalized in the 17th minute with a powerful volleyed effort from inside the penalty box, which was spilt by the goalkeeper and subsequently crossed over the goal line.Victoria retook the lead in the second half when Cordell Thomas scored in the 55th minute, blasting a powerful shot from the left of the box, which slipped under the body of the custodian and settled into the right corner.Friendship would earn a share of the spoils as Clive Andries slotted his penalty attempt into the left side following an infraction inside the area.
