Multicultural Youth Sports Partnership Program

first_imgThe objective of the MYSP Program is to create sustainable opportunities for youth from new and emerging communities and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to participate in sport and physical activity within local communities.Grant funding available under the MYSP Program is $300,000 annually. Grants of between $5,000 and $50,000 are available to eligible organisations that can demonstrate a capacity to develop strong partnerships to deliver sustainable sport participation programs for youth from a culturally and linguistically diverse background, and assist in integrating them into sporting and physical activities.  Grants are available for programs/projects consistent with the objective of the MYSP Program to engage multicultural youth in participating in sport and physical activity, such as: Cross cultural awareness training for sporting organisations Sport awareness training for community groups Sports coach and official training for community groups Facilitating English as a Second Language training for volunteers Promotion of local sporting opportunities and inclusive club-based activities Facilitating linkages between school and club-based activities Running community sporting carnivals and participation programs Running modified sport exposure programsApplications will be open until Friday, 27 May 2011.For more information about the 2011/12 MYSP Program, please visit the Australian Sports Commission webpage for the MYSP Program at: http://www.ausport.gov.au/participating/all_cultures/get_involved/grantlast_img
