Google AdSense display unit does not increase revenue

      now the popular saying is to reduce the display unit to increase the unit price, thereby increasing revenue. But I personally think that reducing the display unit does not increase revenue.

      analysis as follows:

      1, think that reducing the display unit can improve the unit price is right.

      the more advertising units, the more ads, according to the rules of the auction, the average unit price of all natural decline, which is certain.

      2; however, the reduction of display units does not improve ECPM, nor does it increase revenue.

      case 1: a web page with two ad units a and B;

      case two: removed the ad unit B, only reserved a;

      and we assume that the two cases of advertising a location, format, color and so on are the same, and before the ad B appear in the web page.

      for the case one, a visitor comes to the web page, there are two possible

      (1) he saw the ad unit a and clicked on an ad

      (2) he did not click on any ad a ad unit

      while for case two, there are three possible

      (1) he saw the ad unit a and clicked on an ad

      (2.1) he did not click any ad on the ad unit a, but clicked on an ad

in the ad unit B

      (2.2) he did not click on any ad ad unit a, nor did he click on any ad b ad unit

      because we assumed above two case position a ad units are the same, so, for one and two (1), appeared the same two relative to the situation is a possibility, in which (1) the same possibility is also more of a a (2.1)
